'Divorce Texas Style' starts filming in Montgomery County

A feature filmed slated to be released on DVD and cable television has begun filming in Montgomery County this month. The film, titled "Divorce Texas Style," is a story about two detectives who become suspicious after four husbands of high society women die in tragic accidents over a several month period. And it's a comedy. The screenplay was written by Houston actress and writer, Melrose Fougere. In 2010, "short" movie of the story won her a Remi Award at the 43rd Annual Worldfest-Houston International Film Festival.

Many Texans may not consider the subject of divorce to be a comedy but it doesn't have to be a battle of epic proportions either. To obtain a divorce in Texas does not require someone to break the law, as the title of this film may infer. Simply consult with an experienced Texas divorce attorney who understands that, although more than half of all marriages end in divorce, it doesn't make it any easier for a family to go through.

Shooting locations for the film include downtown Montgomery as well as the outskirts of town. A number of local extras are being used in the film as are local restaurants for catering needs of the cast and crew. Many local actors are cast in the production, which will showcase the Montgomery area and many of its attractions and establishments, which are too numerous to mention.

Divorce Texas style can be a collaborative process in which both parties are able to reach a mutually satisfactory agreement and achieve each of his or her goals. Although this film may make light of four women's desperate desire to end their marriages, you need not resort to such drastic measures in order to dissolve your marriage and start anew.

Filming of Divorce Texas Style is scheduled to be completed this month with the premier scheduled for sometime early next year.
